The Office of Governmental Relations serves as the primary liaison between Old Dominion University and all levels of government and works as an advocate for the University by building effective relationships with federal, state, and local governments. This includes bringing federal and state officials to campus to increase awareness of the University's research and educational programs and working closely with committee staff to provide information and testimony on legislative issues. In addition, this office provides information to the president regarding legislative initiatives and assists in developing federal, state and Board of Visitor legislative priorities.
