'Healing Through the Land' is a Community Conversation dedicated to exploring the interconnectedness of land stewardship, health equity, and Virginia鈥檚 Indigenous citizens. This discussion is deeply rooted in the region's historical, cultural, and environmental dynamics from the lived and learned experiences of Indigenous citizens within the region.

This community conversation titled "Post Traumatic Racism Disorder (PTRD): Looking at the Health Crisis of Racism and How Belonging Can Bring About Health Equity" is supported by the NEA Big Read Grant. Dr. Gregory C. Hutchings, Jr. author of "Getting into Good Trouble at School" led a deep exploration of the intersection between racism and health.
