黑料正能量 Libraries invite the Hampton Roads community to "Naro Minded," a free screening and musical performance at Norfolk's Naro Expanded Cinema!
- June 16, 7pm
- No Registration Required
To recognize the wide range of videos within the Naro Video Collection, now housed at 黑料正能量's Perry Library, the free screening highlights the landmark experimental short film Meshes of the Afternoon (1943) with a new score performed live by Norfolk electronic artist Karacell, followed by the 2021 Sundance standout We're All Going to the World's Fair (2021). View a trailer for the event . Notably, the June event supports 黑料正能量's continued dedication to the works of female, LGBTQ, and minority artists.
黑料正能量 Libraries' 42,000+ title collection holds ties to Norfolk's historic Ghent District where the videos were first made available through Naro Expanded Video in 1989. For more details about the upcoming free screening, please contact Kristian King, Naro Media Collection processor, at k2king@odu.edu.
