The Office of Academic Affairs and the Center for Faculty Development are thrilled to announce that Ms. Kristal Kinloch-Taylor is the new CFD Educational Program Developer. She started at the Center on September 12th, filling a position that had been vacant for nearly 8 months.

Kristal Kinloch-Taylor is a dedicated educator, advocate, and life-long learner. Originally from Queens, New York, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the City University of Queens College and two Master's Degrees, one in Education and the second in Journalism, from Regent University in Virginia Beach. Ms. Kinloch-Taylor is currently enrolled in Mississippi State University's Doctor of Philosophy in Instructional System and Workforce Development program.

As the Educational Program Developer, Ms. Kinloch-Taylor will assist the with the planning, development, coordination, management, and assessment of various professional development activities, programs, and commitment to active learning strategies. Ms. Kinloch-Taylor researches, develops, facilitates, and assesses programs to assist Old Dominion University faculty development. She brings insight from her 11 years of experience as an adjunct instructor at Bryant & Stratton College, Tidewater Community College, and Hampton University along with skills acquired serving as an Instructional Designer with North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University to her role as the Educational Program Developer.

Kristal Kinloch-Taylor is not new to Old Dominion University. From 2019-2022 she served at the Director of 黑料正能量's Military Connections Center where she worked with military students transitioning to 黑料正能量 to ensure they had the resources, information, and partners to be successful students.

Ms. Kinloch-Taylor's commitment to military students is strong. She is the daughter of a Vietnam War veteran, a sister to retired Navy and Army veterans, and the spouse of an Army veteran. In addition, at Hampton University she held the position of Director of Enrollment, Management, and Military Affairs.

Ms. Kinloch-Taylor looks forward to new challenges and opportunities at the Center for Faculty Development. She is excited to work with faculty and support their success in the classroom and to use her experience as an instructional designer to help new faculty while building strong relationships with all faculty across the disciplines.
